Role Overview
ISSL is looking for a Lead Cloud & DevOps Architect to own our global infrastructure strategy, Kubernetes clusters, and automated deployment pipelines. In this role, you will lead infrastructure-as-code initiatives, maintain 99.9% uptime across production applications, and establish military-grade security perimeters.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and operate high-availability Kubernetes (EKS / GKE) clusters running containerized enterprise applications.
- Design declarative Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
- Build robust, zero-downtime CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions and GitLab CI with automated vulnerability scanning.
- Implement centralized observability, distributed tracing, and automated alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Loki.
- Conduct disaster recovery rehearsals and enforce multi-region failover configurations.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering roles managing production workloads.
- Advanced expertise with Linux system administration, network security, TLS certificates, and VPC topology.
- Hands-on production mastery of Kubernetes, Helm charts, ingress controllers, and service meshes.
- Certified Solutions Architect (AWS or GCP) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Proven track record designing zero-downtime database failovers and automated snapshot restorations.
Preferred & Nice-to-Have
- Experience complying with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAA infrastructure compliance standards.
- Familiarity with edge caching, Cloudflare Workers, and multi-cloud architectures.
